Here is a breakdown of the news from the video.

After the SORA announcement, it may seem like AI news has slowed down a bit, right? Wrong. Check out this week's webshow and even more news below!

SORA has Major Limitations - It turns out that if you want to generate just 2 minutes of video, it would take over an hour using SORA. Even though OpenAI has made huge leaps forward in quality, efficiency seems to be going backwards.

SORA vs. Runway - We found this interesting comparison between Runway and SORA. There seems to be no doubt that SORA is 100x more realistic.

Premiere of AI Generated Terminator 2 - 50 AI artists (including a couple of Curious Refuge Alumni) are working together to create an AI-generated Terminator 2 parody movie that will premiere in LA on March 8th. We could not be more excited for this event!

Suno AI's Newest Update - Suno recently released version 3 of their AI music generator. Honestly, this is phenomenal. We used Suno to create music for the latest episode of the webshow.

Learn AI Filmmaking - Enrollment opens this week! Make sure you set an alarm for Wednesday, February 28th at 11 am Pacific to ensure your spot. There are thousands of people on the waitlist for this session, and we would love for you to get a seat.

First Ever AI Advertising Course - This is also the first-ever session of the Curious Refuge AI Advertising Course. We have decided to open up a few more seats for those who missed enrollment the first time around. Be on the lookout, as we are expecting these last few seats to be filled quickly.

Elevenlabs SFX - Following the announcement of SORA, Elevenlabs also announced that they are preparing to release a new tool that generates AI Sound FX for video. Honestly, they aren't bad. Knowing Elevenlabs, they will keep getting better.

Elevenlabs + Disney - We wanted to say congratulations to Elevenlabs for being selected as part of the 2024 Disney Accelerator. We absolutely love the team at Elevenlabs and could not be happier for them.

Stable Diffusion 3 - Last week, Stability AI released work that they are preparing to drop Stable Diffusion 3. We have honestly seen some very interesting generations. There seems to be a lot of potential with this new tool.

Google Suspends Image Generation - Last week, Google suspended their image generation tool due to issues with historical inaccuracy. We are curious to see what adjustments they may make to it before releasing it again.

Google Gemini 1.5 - Google Gemini 1.5 can process 1 million tokens of information. Google released a demo showing Gemini watching a movie and then responding accurately to questions about the film. This is huge for the future of AI filmmaking.

ChatGPT's Malfunctions - Most of you may have seen, but if not, ChatGPT recently experienced a bug, and many users got to see it. Honestly, I don't know if this is concerning or encouraging.

Elon + Midjourney - There are some rumors that Elon Musk is looking for a way to possibly have Midjourney integrated with X. At the least, we can expect some type of AI image generation tool integrated with Twitter (fingers crossed for Midjourney).

Midjourney v6 Updates - Coming in clutch (as usual) is Allie Jules giving us an update on Midjourney's recent office hours. We can expect some updates in the realm of character consistency for v6, and Midjourney v7 is expected to have video generation capabilities.

Will Smith Eating Spaghetti & Spaghetti Eating Will Smith - Will Smith played this well, but we would argue that Justine Moore had the best play without a doubt.
